Configurix

3D railing and balustrade configurator software

Draw the route. Configure the system. Keep every decision connected.

Configurix connects measured railing routes, glass and infill systems, mounting, posts, handrails, finishes and commercial services in one guided 3D project—with live pricing, branded quotes, explicit technical review and optional materials or order data attached.

Connected railing project

The drawn route, selected system, calculated components, price and review state stay connected.

Railing configuration software defined

A balustrade is route geometry plus a governed product system.

A connected railing configurator starts with the project's measured edge: straight segments, corners, returns, openings, stairs and landings. It then applies the manufacturer's real post, channel, handrail, infill, glass, fixing, finish and accessory catalogue to that route.

The product rules decide which systems, heights, spans, panel widths, mounting methods, corners, terminals and finishes can be selected. Calculation logic converts the accepted route into visible geometry, commercial quantities and—where explicitly mapped—materials or configured-order data.

The same product model can support a simple homeowner selector, installer measuring workflow, authenticated dealer portal, showroom or internal sales tool. Each channel can receive different catalogue scope, prices, margins, documents and actions while preserving one project identity.

Railing safety depends on the actual system, site, substrate, use, loads and jurisdiction. Configurix can enforce approved catalogue rules and preserve assumptions and review status; it does not turn a customer-drawn 3D scene into structural, code or installation approval.

Interactive railing scope planner

Define the project before selecting software features.

Change the system, route and required output. The planner identifies a practical workflow and the evidence needed before it can be trusted.

Visual railing CPQ with revisioned quote

Convert the measured route into valid posts, panels, channels, handrails, corners, terminals and services; apply the permitted account price context; and issue a quote that can be reconciled to the same saved configuration.

Persistent project record

Customer or dealer · route revision · product revision · quantity calculation · price-list revision · quote revision

  • Calculated quantities can be traced to route segments and product rules.
  • Account changes re-evaluate catalogue, price and permissions server-side.
  • A geometry or system change creates a new configuration and quote revision.

Model the route, the system and the evidence behind the sale.

The implementation follows the manufacturer's actual profiles, glass, posts, fixings, spans, commercial rules and required outputs—not a generic collection of railing pictures.

Route and site geometry

Capture the edge that must be guarded and keep every segment identifiable.

  • Straight, L, U, polygon, return, opening, stair and landing routes
  • Segment length, direction, elevation, slope, starts, ends and corners
  • Mounting surface, substrate context, photos, notes and survey status

Systems and mounting

Apply the correct product family and physical connection to each route.

  • Post, frameless channel, spigot, stand-off, fascia and top mounting
  • Handrails, base rails, covers, brackets, corners and terminals
  • System, market, height, span, angle and end-condition compatibility

Glass and infill

Configure visible panels while retaining governed product identity.

  • Glass families, construction, thickness, tint, opacity and edge treatment
  • Pickets, bars, panels, cable, rod and mixed-material infill systems
  • Panel widths, gaps, clamps, holes, cut-outs and review triggers

3D buyer guidance

Make complex route and system decisions understandable on every device.

  • Plan, elevation, perspective, stair and detail inspection views
  • Dimensions, validation and option summaries outside the 3D canvas
  • Optional visual-placement AR with explicit measurement limitations

Pricing and proposals

Calculate the permitted commercial offer from the saved project.

  • Lengths, panels, posts, corners, hardware, finish, glass and services
  • Retail, installer, dealer and account price context with permissions
  • Branded or co-branded quotes with assumptions, exclusions and revisions

Materials and handoff

Preserve accepted identity when the project moves beyond sales.

  • Configuration, route, product, quote, drawing and review revisions
  • Optional component schedule, cut list, BOM or configured-order mapping
  • CRM, ERP, PIM, ecommerce, API, webhook and managed-file connections

One connected process

From measured edge to a reviewed railing project.

The buyer, installer, dealer, salesperson and technical reviewer can continue the same configuration while each role owns the decisions it is qualified to make.

Capture the route

Draw or enter the measured geometry

Define segments, corners, openings, stairs, landings, mounting context and the status of every measurement.

Build the system

Apply valid posts, rails and infill

Select the permitted system, mounting, handrail, glass or infill, finish and accessories while product rules remain active.

Build the offer

Calculate quantities and commercial price

Turn route behavior into traceable components, services and the customer, installer or dealer price context.

Review and release

Approve the project and preserve its revision

Record survey, technical and customer decisions before generating the accepted document, materials or order handoff.

A railing visualizer shows a style. A connected configurator governs the project.

Use this comparison to test whether a tool only changes appearance or can preserve route logic, commercial evidence and review status through the workflow.
